    Question Ram Voltage

Can someone help on this please?
    Self build PC
    I fitted 2 PC2-8500 (1066) slot 1&3 rated 2.150v
I fitted 2 more sticks in the other slots 6 months later i bought the same.
Noticed CPU-Z states those are rated @2.200v
Is this a problem could it cause conflicts?
I do get the odd game crashing for no obvious reason apart from that PC runs well.
    Thanks

Up the voltage in the bios to 2.2V for the ram. This will overvolt the previous set a bit, but in my opinion not enough to be an issue.

You might not even need 2.2V. Get Memtest86+ (available as an ISO for burning a bootable CD) and see if you can make it stable at a lower voltage.

That is true as well. Never really thought about making it efficient, I was just shooting out a fast fix!

What can I say, I'm an enginerd!

Lower voltage = cooler = longer life. I try to shoot for the minimum voltage necessary to get the desired results.

Thanks for the help so far.
How do i change the volts for the ram??
Could it be DDR Over Voltage? set @ .30v at the moment the health page in the bios says DDR18V 2.096V if that helps.
I have posted some screenshots on Uneven Temps thread in proccesor section that may help.
    Cheers

Yes, DDR Over Voltage would be the right control.

Does it run memtest86+ without errors at your current settings? If so, leave it.

I ran memtest and it crashed nearly straight away.
Removed 2 sticks and ran memtest with no errors for 10 hours that should be enough time.
Will swap sticks and try it again if there ok then that's the problem different versions or slight difference in voltage.
