    Hi.
    First of all, pardon my egnlish

    I'm getting together this PC:
    FORTRON AX400-60APN, 400W
    GIGABYTE EP43-DS3
    Dual-Core E6300
    Corsair 4GB (KIT 2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz
    ASUS EAH4850/512MB DDR3
    SEAGATE Barracuda 7200.12 500GB

    I'm having problems with getting together Gigabyte EP43-DS3 with Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C5

    When both Memory modules are installed in dual channel (same color motherboard ports or Slot#1, Slot#3) - System freezes at windows startup or few minutes after.
    When only one memory module is installed, or both modules are, but into different color motherboard slots (Slot#1, Slot#2) - System is fully functionall, but occasionly freeze after few hours.

    Bios settings are all default (pretty much everything related to memory voltage is set to "Auto" ), no overclocking

    Memtest pass with no errors for each module separately, but when both modules are installed it freezes during the process

    CPU-Z report is attached

    Can you please give us your full BIOS settings you are trying and a link to your ram?

    You may just need to properly setup your BIOS for 4GB of ram

    This is Just a template I use to ask people their settings, pay no attention to the numbers in it, replace with yours

    Superb!!! Nice to see it was so easy for you

    Now if you like you can try to lower these a little at a time, but start with tRD one at a time as you can only go to 6-7 likely >>

    tRFC..........................................: Auto << work down to 52/54 52-62
    Command Rate (CMD) ....................: Auto << Set 2 for now, try one last


    Channel A & B
    Static tRead Value.........................:Auto << Try to get to 6-7 first, MCH and or Vtt voltages may need adjusted to use 6, but 7 should be easy to get going.

    Of course the above info is only if you want to tinker for better performance, tRD (Static tRead) holds the most importance = The Lower Better
