The registry may well be in the protection System Information folder which you can't view/delete. What is the point of the question? Regedit is the best access to the Registry, and if any registry files are deleted you can't just "replace" them from the XP CD. A lot of them are generated from scratch by programs and Windows itself based on what you've installed and what hardware configuration you have.
well, I just wanted to back up the registry from all the systems on my network to my main/server system, without going to each one and running regedit and exporting the sucka.
Just cuz Im lazy. ;)
