  • 3DMARK03 Crashing

Hey guys, I've had 3D Mark 2003 for sometime now, and It always crashes when ever i run it on the Athlon XP 2400+ system i have. Its and HP, so it should be pretty stable, and it just chrashes. It has DX9, the same version that my main comp has (and it runs 3DMARK03 fine) and has a GF4 MX420:barf: . So any ideas why it doesnt work.
Maybe the new patch (330) will fix it.

Nice recovery. I was wondering where a power supply was fitting into this equation.

Yea, i was in the wrong window. Glad we have the delete post option

EDIT: Thinking of it though, how many watts is your power supply? im not sure, but maybe there is some extra power used when running 3Dmark2003, which might cause the hang

Im out of it tonight, i cant get no names rite :hammer:

do you have your system overclocked?
I've had 3D mark freeze and lock up when I had pushed things too far once

Dude , theres a simple answer to all of this...... most ge force 4 mx series cards wont work with 3d mark03. But even if they did you would only get one test so why bother:confused: so to sumarise its your card not bein compatible with the software ure pc is a ok:thumb:

Yes if ya usin' an MX card (DX7 compatible) then restrain ya self to usin' 3DMark'01SE (build 330 w/ DX9 installed).

Well, I am overclocked pretty hard on it, and it doesnt have an active cooler, but it crashes right of the start, so it is not really a heat\OC realated problem. At least i dont think so.
Wiggo: Well, I have it, but im not really happy with it, because the system has an Athlon XP 2400+, so i want to get the CPU grades for 3DMARK03, and not 01.
