    Hi guys I have a MSI Ti4200x8 card and have just got the 44.03 driver from the msi site but it dosent seem to have many options for open gl, I want to know two things first off i have never used open gl for games so can you tell me if it has any advantages and should i use it for some games, 2nd were can i get some more open gl support files and how do i go about updateing them and stuff, I know a hole let anout windows and a little about graphics but have never used open gl yet and i here it can be ok on gforce cards sop let me know thanks. :laugh:

    It depends on the game enginge, and if it does support OpenGL. Generally OpenGL is faster than Direct3D in my experiances with the Geforce line of cards. The Half-life engine, Unreal Tournament Engine, UT2003 engine, Serious Sam engine, ALL like OpenGL better than Direct3D, and it runs better when you select OpenGL. Basically if OpenGL is an option, then select it! It's also not an M$ POS, where as Direct3D is! For some reason OpenGL actually looks better to me than Direct3D does. I can't actually say why, but it just looks sharper, and has slightly more detail in my eyes. OPENGL ALL THE WAY!!!
