  • Memory overclocking

I have a P4 3.0 GHz 800fsb, and it only lets you change the fsb speed (not the multiplier, as most of you know). I want to get my memory bandwidth higher, but 3.0 ghz p4's fsb rate can only go like 20 mhz higher before instability happens. Besides changing the memory timings, is there any other way to speed up my DDRRAM?

a full list of system specs would help, but most people have been able to raise their fsb more than just 20 mhz with the new intel procs

With a stock cooler, higher speeds may not be possible. Most intel p4 come with crappy coolers. I've seen some real bad ones.
The stock on my intel won't even allow 112 fsb without trouble. I'm runnin at 133 with np. No crashes or anything. 1.6 gig from a 1.2:cheers:
