  • 200MB/s Lan transfers

I read in the DFI nForce 2 Lanparty Motherboard Review that since it has Dual Ethernet connectors it is possible in windows xp (I use windows XP Pro) to link them up to have 200MB/s lan connections??

I have an ASUS A7N8X Deluxe board and since it also has Dual Ethernet connectors I was wondering how I would go about trying this out.

I regularly transfer large files between the two systems (sometimes in excess of 80gb) and and being the impatient peep that I am, I do get fed up waiting for it to Finnish :P

So any chance I can get to make it go a bit faster I will try.
Both systems use the Asus Deluxe board and both are using the 3COM nic at the moment, so the Nvidia one is sitting there idle doing nowt.

So any help that will help to ease my poor wifes ears as I curse and swear at the time it takes to transfer files at 10MB sec (yeah I know not slow bur I like to moan!), would be greatly appreciated :0)

Well I'm not sure if ya can "shotgun" a network connection but most dual nics are used for broadband internet servers so that one nic accesses the internet and is then shared out by the 2nd nic over the internal network (this is the setup that I used before goin' back to dailup after movin' to the bush).
