  • Computer wont start up

Ok, this is kind of a long story so bear with me. On Friday night I decided to remove the northbridge fan on my mobo. So I remove the fan, clean all the crap off, apply OCZ Ultra II to the northbridge, and put the fan back on. Now, ever since then I have been having problems. However, I am not sure if its related to the northbridge since im pretty sure I didnt do anything wrong there. So I went to use my computer yesterday (saturday) and after using it for a few mintues it randomly restarted. I turned it back on, used it for a little longer and it restarted again. So I backed down the FSB to 210 and after that it seemed to get better and I left it running for the night. When I went on it this morning, a few minutes after using it it restarted once again. I went into bios and while lowering some settings the bios screen started to get messed up, like when I would close one screen it would remain there ontop of the screen i was currently looking at and I was getting some stuff that looked like artifacts around the screen. I then went to save and exit and while my computer was saving the bios settings it once again froze. So I turn my computer back on, and restart. Now, as soon as windows loads up it restarts again. I go try to start up once again and now it just starts up but no image appears on the monitor and my computer beeps 3 times. The mobo seems to be fine because all the lights and everything still goes on. The northbrige fan, the video card fan, the cpu fan are also all working. What the hell did I do to my computer? And thanks a lot in advance.
By the way, Im using a GeForce3 now but I dont think that this problem was caused by the video card though Im not totall sure. Also, the beep that i get is one long beep followed by two short ones.

The NB is touchy, take the NB fan off and put it back on, if that is the only change you have made.
