another noobie needs help!!!

Hey there fellas,

never EVER messed with overclocking before and just decided to buy an athlon 64 3200 and an asus k8v deluxe board.
my ram is cheap and nasty stuff so going to get either corsair or kingston 512mb drr 3200 cas 2 in a coupla months

also running a radeon 9800se

want to overclock my system and get that nice little extra boost

any advice would be worth a pint down the pub!!!! (if im over down your way that is)

How would i start to overclock my radeon 9800 se?

Get ya quality memory first because overclockin' is goin' to put the strain on that department as ya up the FSB and "the cheap n' nasty stuff" will usually fall in a heap b4 ya get very far. Ya could go over to www.guru3d.com and download one of the overclockin' utilities there for ya video card and start overclockin' that but don't expect great results there either as ya bought a crippled card (ya should of at least bought a plain R9800).
