Hey i was just wondering if someone could help me out here, i want to get the best performance out of my new computer,but still keep it stable.
SPEC'S
OS=XP
SDRAM=1.0 GB
VIDEO CARD=X 850 XT PE
PROCESSOR=3.6 P4
STOCK COOLING THAT COMES WITH DELL XPS-GEN 4 COMPS

SO IF YOU COULD PLEASE HELP ME ON WHERE TO BEGIN I
WOULD BE VERY THANKFUL, SEEING IM A NEWB TO THIS TWEAK STUFF!!!!

Being a Dell system, the only tweaking you can do is software. Clean windows install, getting latest drivers for hardware, etc. Its highly unlikely that you'll be able to overclock the XPS.

google it. Guru3d usually has the latest version. You don't really need to tweak your system much...Unless you want bragging rights from benchmarks. You can't mess with Dells much. Hard to repair them too just because you can't mess with much. Under the assumption that you want tweaking for games (since it's a dell built for gaming) you're really only performance increase would come from overclocking your video card. ATI tray tools is really nice for that. Just make sure you have decent cooling around your vga.
