  • P4 Vs Xp 1700+

    First of all i want to say Merry Christmas!! Now my question was what do you think my 1700+ OC'D to 2.1 GHz @ 140 fsb would compare to a pentium 4? All i did was set my cpu to a 2400+ And then increase fsb. Thank you

      not a pentium m or emt 64. just a normal one ex:2.8ghz with ht.

        They vary greatly in speeds. P4s go from less than 2GHz to over 3GHz. If 2.8GHz is the specific spped in mind, then your processor is worse in almost all applications, but by only by a little in some.

          So you would say like mine is better than a 2.4 but equal to a 2.6GHZ?(i know there really insent one)

              It would be about a 2.6-2.8 non Hyperthreading P4 (once Hyperthreading is thrown in your left behind).
