X-Fi uh-oh

Forgive me for starting this thread.
I was playing CoD2 multi, then I decided to switch to the Game Mode of my sound card, The X-Fi has 3 modes, entertainment, music editing, and Gaming Mode. I went from entertainment to Gaming after quiting all apps and games etc. (it cant switch when the audio is on.) But then it said "This opperation cannot be carried out. This may be b/c the audio device is in use. Please quit all audio apps and gmaes, then try again."
I suspected Cod2 hadnt quit or something so I restarted the app and the same thing occured.

Well, obviously something is still using the audio device. Reboot into Safe Mode and try it, I guess.

I'm sorry for posting this, i solved the problem on my own, I rebooted and enabled the mobos audio then reinstalled the card. I did'nt mean to post this. Please remove this thread.

nice sound card orange! i always leave mine in gaming mode myself. good luck with it.

HI ALL
got the x-fi xtreme music and wouldn't let my pc boot up,could't get apassed bootup screen,tryed everything including ringing creative ,they blamed other things
don't have a nvida chipset mob,my mobo is abit av8 3 eye which has a via chipset,so took out and put back audigy 2 and all working ok
