I read in another post this:
When I right click on my computer and view properties it tells me that the system is a 64bit system. But when I follow the above quote only "msinfo32" works. So what does that mean? Is my PC defaulting to 32bit or something or is the above quote wrong? I have been having a real headache finding 64bit software so I think it is 64 bit? Also when I view processes in task manager it lists the processes that are 32bit by putting a '32' next to the process. Another question I have is that I use the 64bit ie. But when I view the processes it shows an iexplore (32) and a iexplore which I assume is 64bit? Why is there both a 32bit and 64bit version working? So I guess the point of my questions is: When the OS is using both 32bit and 64bit software does the whole system default to 32? Or does the processes run independent and some of them operate in 64 and some in 32? THanks for the help.
Type msinfo64 or msinfo32 in your run box. The one that works is the one that you have.
