  • GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L 30 second shutdown

    GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L F8F BIOS
    Antec Sonata III 500 Case
Intel E8400 CPU w/ Intel HSF
    Kingston 2x2GB PC2-5300 RAM
ASUS EN8400GS SILENT PCI Express x16

It used to run great and was stable for two weeks. Then I carried it over to new place and it turns on, beeps once, starts booting, and then shuts down in 30 seconds.

I'm not overclocking or anything. I've pulled out and reseated all components including the CPU fan and still the same. It's hard for it to stay up long enough to get into the BIOS and check out the temperatures and voltages but I'll keep trying. Maybe it's not making good contact and overheating? Any other ideas?

it sounds like the power supply is shutting it down. do you have access to another power supply you can test with?

Since you say you moved it, have you rechecked ALL cables and connections to be sure you are all hooked up properly and not partially connected somewhere causing a short? Best way to test that would be to hook up the board outside of the case to just the minimal parts and see if it starts up properly
