  • Help with EP43-DS3L OC? Please

Hello, I am new to Gigabyte. New for Intel CPU's also. I have been with AMD forever and another board manufacture. I like my new system and Gigabytes boards now. My question is on the OC.

My new PC is mid range and was built to play newer games at reasonable frame rates. I was saving money I thought by getting an E7200 and OC to 3GHZ speed, but I still can't get it to OC.

    Vista Ultimate
    E7200 45nm CPU
PC PWR & COOLING PSU 500 watt 35amp single 12v rail.
    EP43-DS3L mobo
    ASUS 4850 video
    1Gx2 memory DDR2 1066 G.SKILL 5-5-5-15
ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro CPU cooler

Re: Help with EP43-DS3L OC? Please

Those options you wrote above are all the options, did you mean something else? And the control + F1 hotkey will show some hidden things, but nothing will be hidden as far as overclocking in the MIT Section. To use that hotkey you must press it on the MAIN screen of the BIOS, and the screen will flash. Then all hidden settings are shown, which are not many, NONE in the MIT Section I do not think.

You should see some more voltages controls maybe with the hotkey? Not sure about the P43 since it is the budget model. If you do see them please let me know and I will advise you on the rest of the voltages.

Control + F1 should not be needed, since you may have to use it I need to ask about your flash. Did you load optimized defaults and save and apply after you flashed? If not, you need to do that to properly flash. Please See my guide >>>
