serious problem ex58-ud5

hallo! i've a serious problem with my new ga ex58-ud5 mainboard. i tested all the things but i can't enter in the bios. yesterday the pc runs well but actually, after a normal restart of the os, the mainboard run a continuos fake boot. I've disable the peripherals one by one to find the problem but nothing happens. I try the config with psu-mobo-cpu-triple channel ddr3-cpu cooler, i checked it with single slot of ram but the mainboard always perform the fake boot. If i install the ddr3 on the blue slot, the fake boot does not appear, but the bios doesn't run again. I read that someone had this problem, so i try with the white slot with bad results. The display post code show this error sequence before shut down: C1-C3-B8-B9 and immediatly after that 88 and fake boot.Can anyone help me??

There is a bios update for these boards, which may or maynot be connected with your problem. But seeing as the board is so new, it might be worth considering, as a bios update probably addresses a few issues.

thank you very much. I've read something about this problem but the bios of my mainboard is F3, the same that gigabyte raccomends to install for the problem of the boot with some i7 cpu. Do you think my bios is corrupted and i get a RMA card? I should try to make a flash bios recover from a floppy drive, but the problem sounds like something bad. I don't understand why mainboard runs very well the first time i plugged in and after a normal operation of restart of the os it "crashes" in a sort of continuos loop the only thing that i do before it happens is adjust the voltage of vcore with easy tune. I decreasing it for better temperature. All frequences were @ default values. The vcore value was 1.040 with cpu-z.

My board does this (cold boot ok, but warm boot crash/ S3 resume problem) if:
CPU or Ram voltage too low
RAM timings too tight
Other voltages that make the OC unstable.

Powering down the PSU and reseting cmos (switch at back) for 10 secs always gets me out of trouble.

In your case, I guess the CPU voltage setting you entered was too low.
1.04v is the default powersaving voltage (C1E), and your CPU voltage is probably closer to 1.2 v under normal operation.

What did you set the CPU voltage at in easy tune. If you reduced below 1.04 thinking that was your default CPU voltage, then that's the problem.

Once you get into your BIOS after having loaded defaults, what CPU voltage does it show under hardware monitor? That would be the default voltage for your CPU.

P.s. I'd also give F4L a try.

I think the voltage was too low, but this problem i think can be easly solved with a normal cmos reset. I try everything for cmos but nothing happens. I've also try with a floppy device with f3 bios but in the last good boot i remember that i've disable all boot devices except hard disk drive. So i think that can't be possible a bios resume I have decreasing the cpu voltage because the temperature was not fine for the default frequence, about 42/44/36/42 in idle. Under stress test the temp. pulling up until reach 75/72/68/72. i know that a lot of users have this temperature on a oc cpu (3800~4000) with same cooler as mine. I also try to spread a new layer of thermal compound, but the temp was again higher than the normal values. My case is equipped with 8 fans and i suppose that the air can be recycled well inside.
The second question is about the life of my cpu. Does this fake boot damage it? The decreasing of voltage through the software easytune can compromise the real voltage and accordingly the value of this voltage after reboot was totally wrong?
I suppose that my bios, after reducing the cpu voltage, can be corrupted and the only thing that i do is the Rma option at this moment i think is the good option for me.

hmm your problem is kind of similar to mine i try to undervolt my ram but cause a loop boot but i was successful in clr mos like always until yesterday

btw did you find a fix or you had to RMA the board?
