I updated the BIOS to 7a for the Ga UD3P mobo with a q9550 and when using Firefox or IE... I would just lose connection for no reason... strange. Anyone has this same problem with Vista + SP1. How often do you see the Network Icon as 'Limited Connectivity'... Vista really sucks... with XP I never had this problem for yrs of using it but with Vista issues like this make life hard... when it already is.

You know I was having something similar like this going on w/ my UD3P and Vista SP1. I was not able to tell for sure what the issue was, I was pretty sure it was the Kaspersky trial software that was doing it but I RMA'd my board for other reasons so I cannot tell you 100% till I get it backNew Q9650, Gigabyte UD3P, 4GB OCZ Platinum, Asus TOP 4850, Antec TP3 550W, Vista 64 SP1/XP SP3.

I have installed everything already.. and not willing to go through that hassle of RMAing it... as it is working ok. I searched and found many with Vista losing connection not just the Mobo.... I think it is a vista issue.CPU Type QuadCore Intel Core i7-4790K, 4200 MHz (42 x 100)

I am running UD3R with Vista 64 sp1 with no problems. I get lag with wow every so often but other than that, it runs pretty flawless.Antec tps-650 E8500 A/C Freezer 7 pro

Do you have the latest drivers for your devices installed? Are you sure it's not a setting on your router?

Ya, I would be thinking along software and driver lines before the OS itself. Disable your firewall and be sure vista's firewall is disabled and then see if the issue persists
