  • GA-EP45 UD3P and Crossfire

    Greetings all,
I have been unable to get crossfire working using two Powercolor 4850s with this board. One of the cards always shows as disabled in the catalyst software and the crossfire option never even initializes.

I have tried all three options in the bios in regards to the vid cards to no avail and have enough power and both crossfire ribbons in place (or removed). I have switched between both cards in the bios and they work fine...just never in crossfire.

I have to be missing something obvious...this thing runs sweet as can be otherwise...

    POWERCOLOR AX4850 512MD3-DH Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

    Thanks for any help

    Re: GA-EP45 UD3P and Crossfire

....anyone know if the F7a bios helps this? I'm using F6 now...I've tried about every setting I can find. I know both cards work and can switch between them in the BIOS (PCI, PEG, PEG2) but still cannot get them to work together.

Is anyone here running a crossfire config on this board and if so how is it setup? I still am unable to get crossfire working. I know there are issues with the drivers and the 4850s but I would like to hear from Gigabyte how it should be setup (bios and hardware)...I have been unable to find this information anywhere. I have two cards, two ribbons and lots of power just no crossfire.
