bios detect wrong clock!

i got new GA-G31M-S2L with intel P4 3G 2M cach, the problem is the windows and Everest software detect the processor as 3G with no problem, but when i switch on my pc (in the very begining) the bios reads only 2.4G.

there is alot of bios setting but i did not want to risk it without asking here first? do i have bad processor or Motherboard or bad Bios?

Disable Speedstep (C1E and EIST) in the BIOS. At least I think those would be the same in P4 CPU's
