  • 5770 in crossfire on a P45-UD3P

    Hello all

Perhaps someone would be kind enough and tell me if it is possible to run two ATI 5770 graphics cards in crossfire on a Gigabyte P45 UD3P motherboard with only a 550W PSU?

I am asking for a friend that really wants to run these new graphics card and he would rather not have to upgrade anything.

    Thanks in advance

    Poul

i dont know its pushing it a little, try it and see you can always replace the psu later all it will do is shut down if doesnt have enuff power....the 5000 series cards use less power than the 4000 series

But there will be no psysical problem running it? I mean despite the motherboard having a PCI x16 slot and a x8 slot they will fit just fine right?

I may sound like a noob here, but I will not tell him he can buy two of those cards and run them in crossfire and then it turns out that I was wrong about this.

What I am trying to say is a P45 UD3P will be able to run two PCI Express 2.0 cards in crossfire?
