Just put together a new PC with a Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P. Having an intermittent problem, trying to troubleshoot. The issue is that on occasion, most often with a cold start, the system starts to post with the normal single beep, and a fraction of a second after the Gigabyte splash screen, the system halts with a small green rectangle, a Ñ character and a blinking cursor. It may then take multiple resets to get a normal boot to the OS. Thinking it might be the video card, removed the Radeon 4850, and replaced with a new Powercolor Radeon 5850, and then today, with a cold start, exact same problem. Can enter the bios ok pressing del at the splash screen. The memory passes 3 passes of memtest with no errors. system is completely stable, no blue screens, once it is booted into Win 7.
