  • Running 2 fans on a cooler

I am planning on getting a GA-P55A-UD4P board with a i5 750 processor. I plan to run 2 fans on the CPU cooler with a splitter to the Cpu cooler header on the board. The fans pull .2amps apiece. I can't find any AMP rating in the manual. Does anyone know if this is ok?

The header will take at least a couple of Amps so this will be no problem.

        A pleasure.

Let us know how you get on with the build etc. I'll be constructing an i7 860 rig myself and am curious as to how cool a dual fan (TRUE) setup will keep it. I'll have Hyper Threading generating more heat, ut it should only be ~5-8c worth at full 8 core load, hopefully.

Aha! I thought I'd seen a question similar before. It's 3 Amps, that's more than I thought and enough for even a server speed fan like a Delta.

Ya I had to hunt it down via google's "site:tweaktown.com" search, but I knew what I had said in the thread so that made it easier.

I think that exact reply is actually posted a few times around here too.
