Thanks a lot guys for replying so fast:).
All my drivers are up to date even mouse and keyboard.
I have core i7 920 stock frequency, QPI 2427.7MHZ turbo boost enabled and the multiplier goes to 21 sometimes. I tought the freezes comes from the turbo boost but even when disabling it it still freezes. I tried the safe mode boot in the bios and it stil freezes.
The ram timing was set automaticly by the bios and was 8 8 8 30 or something. i tought the problem came from it and i made the corsair frequency 9-9-9-24 1333mhz and i dont know about the voltage.
        thx guys.

nevermind there probably all on auto which is bad as it will overvolt things, just go into the bios and set your cpu voltage to the normal setting, qpi voltage to 1.280000 and your ram to its rated voltage 1.5-1.64 in bios, set all your rams timing manually, select quick timings and enter what it says on the side of ram something like 8-8-8-26-1T do that and see if its any better

                Re: GA-EX58-UD5 random freezes

ok dude trying this now ;) (and yes all is set to auto)
edit: do i need to choose a value between 1.5- 1.64 or do i need to make this setting [1.5 - 1.64 ] in the bios? Oo
edit 2: it freezed again. It always freezes when i change the texture setting of call of duty modernwarfare 2 to bonus. When set to high it doesnt freezes lol. my video card driver is up to date and i tried older drivers.
i tought the problem comes from the gpus but sometimes it just freezes in the desktop O.o or while browsing web or while watching a video. Sometimes when watching the tv using vlc the comp freezes but the sound still works. I can do nothing except hard boot.
edit3:t i cas thinking that everytime that the video memory is stressed (watching tv, playing video game, hd video) the computer freeze. So i dled video memory stress test and it freezed with the sli and with the both card tested separated. But its weird because the video memory isnt that much used when browsing the web or being in the desktop :s.

ok so what have you changed in bios? cpu voltage on normal?qpi on 1.28000v??? i dont know your spec voltage for corsair i think its 1.5v im not sure if not set it to 1.66 inthe bios which will be 1.64 in real terms use,i know its freezing in games but it could want just a touch more qpi voltage as the memory controler is in the i7 chip, try that first then if it still does it its probably gpu/sli related and you might need abit more ioh core 1.12500

Thanks a lot for answering wazza.

i changed the cpu voltage to normal the qpi i made 1.280000 and it changed to 1.215 in the bios dont know why. And im going to change the voltage of the ram to 1.5 now.

                    thx again

EDIT: it freezed again when running video memory stress test. I made 1.5v to vram and set the qpi voltage to normal because when i write 1.280000 in qpi voltage it changes to 1.215.

                        Re: GA-EX58-UD5 random freezes

If you plan on GPU ram testing those cards.

I suggest you use a 80 series nvidia driver, instead of the newer ones (newer ones report false errors to VMT)
also, to do only one installed at a time, and not in sli.

                        on another note.

                            Thanks for replying guys.

Wazza when i change the qpi voltage to 1.280000 and i press enter it changes to 1.215. Is it normal? Should i choose 1.275 for the qpi?

also, to do only one installed at a time, and not in sli.
