  • No Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP) options in bios

    I have recently purchased the EP45T-UD3LR(rev 1.0 - bios F5) and Corsair XMS3 TW3XG1600C9DHX RAM (4GB).
The RAM is supposed to be able to run at 1600mhz however I am unable to get the system to boot if I manually change the settings to those listed by Corsair (9-9-9-24 at 1.80V). I have tried numerous other automatic settings but the system only works properly at 1033Mhz.

I contacted Gigaybte Tech support and they told me to enable XMP support in the bios. However , depsite my manual showing this option, it does not show up in my bios anywhere and certainly not under DRAM performance control where it should be. I read on another forum that the performance enhance had to be set at Extreme so how up the XMP option, but no mattter what setting i use there is NO Extreme memory profile (XMP) option showing up at all!

Please help! What am I doing wrong?

Re: No Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP) options in bios

    You are doing nothing wrong.
You can see in MemSet SPD windows, this ram has no XMP programed.
Try all the 4.00x multipliers, set Static tRead Value manually 10-12 for both channels, MCH Core 1.2-1.26v, DRAM Voltage according to ram specs.
Please post full BIOS settings using the template in this post.

Re: No Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP) options in bios

Can't tell if the numbers you posted are det or auto by the way you posted.
Please repost with default values to the left of the colons (replace ??? with defaults), [auto] or the value set to the right of the colons.
Please post a screen capture of EasyTune -> Tuner -> Advanced -> Voltage tab too.

I forgot, set Performance Enhance standard.
Have you tried all 4.00 (A/B/C/D) memory multipliers? MCH Core from 1.2v to 1.26v?
Try less MCH Core 1.05-0.95v if more does not work.
If 1600 is not possible you can try 1333 with 8-8-8-20 timings.

              Rev 1.0 - I believe the f6 is for rev1.1 only?

I have not had chance to try any of Chikes other settings yet.

Both revisions share the same BIOS, EuP Lot 6 function is only supported on rev. 1.1, at least that's what I make of it.
