  • Intel SSD part numbers

Anyone know the difference in part numbers for the Intel X-25M 80GB's.I have two numbers-SSDSA2M080G2GN and SSDSA2MH080G2.Whats the "GN" designation.Went to intel's blog site where someone asked the rep. about this and he sidestepped by simply stating that if it's silver its a G2.

The GN looks to be just ordering information to me from looking at the PDF, I see several threads indicating those are the same drives just sold in different amounts or ways to resellers is all.

      Thanks,
Form factor is the difference in the varied part numbers for Intel SSD's.They come in 5.0mm,7.0mm,and 9.5mm depending on the application (laptops)
The R5's are 9.5mm ,they have a plastic insert for a snug laptop fit .It seems I'm not the only one asking this question Intel's forum has people worried their not
receiving quality simply due to their P/N.It turns out all X25M SSD's are the same, although the absolute newest(newegg) have the latest firmware.I think they have 01 at
the end of the product number.
