Nice write up, I assume the board is not the reference board in regards to using a water block?
The results for the 5870 vs 4890 are what i expected having used a 4890 for a bit myself and am using a 5870 now, not OC'ed but it is water cooled. While the 4890 was nice it was also hot and if you have a smaller case was hard to keep it from heat crashes(imo).

My intent on WC is to remove the heat from my gaming room and a moderate OC ability. For whatever reason a lot of games I play don't like the video over clocked, STO comes to mind but maybe with better tools it would work better.

Thanks for all the benchmark tool links I'll have to try some of those out.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

It's Non-reference, so some water blocks may not fit it. I agree, 4890 is fairly hot, even the cooler cards seem hot now that I've used a 5870!

Good luck pushing your card and trying out all the benchmarks once you have a chance!
