    Re: GA-EP45-DS4 what mem modules

its up to you really, but with a 64bit os i would go for 4x2gb sticks,it might be a little hard to run all 8gb at its rated speed so you might have to underclock the ram slightly, you wont know for sure unless you test but 8gb underclocked will be better than 4gb full speed

If you go to G.Skill web site and find the modules you`re looking at there is a qualified motherboard list.
I`m using 2x2Gb G.Skill F2-8500CL5D in my GA-EP45-DS3P and they work fine, even though these aren`t on the qualified motherboard list.
      NZXT Hush case
      EP45-DS3P Motherboard
      G.Skill F2-8500 CL5-2GbPK RAM
      Q6600 GO CPU @ 3Ghz
      OCZ Vendetta 2 HSF
      Samsung spinpoint F1 HDD
      Samsung sata DVD drive
      Gigabyte HD4850 1Gb graphics card

        Re: GA-EP45-DS4 what mem modules

I didn't really get the answers that i was looking for, so i ordered G.Skill Trident F2-8500CL5D-4GBTD (2Gx2)
Because i am fed up with GigaByte boards not being able to boot up after bios crash, when bios is reset. With the default mem voltage of 1.8v. my last memory modules required 2.1v just to boot, and i had to actually lend som other memory just to go into bios just to set mem voltage up :( NOT Funny!
But i also needed some idears on going from 2gb to 4gb or 8gb (advantage/disadvantage) and if so then with 2 or 4 modules???
