  • test motherboard

    Hi,
I am a newbie at this but recently in attempting ot build a PC with a GA-X58A-UD3R rev 2 mb I appear to have stuffed the board. I took it to a PC repair place and they replaced the MB with a new one exactly the same -- the PC is great. My question is : - is there a way to test this MB without having to completely install it in a computer -- there is no visible damage and as far as I can tell all I did wrong was in the connections to the case?
This is my 2nd GA -X58 computer and I am curently looking to build a third one - but if I could use this board it would be a great help.

    Thanks for any advice,

Check out the http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...tml#post301218 post that discusses basic motherboard trouble-shooting with your mobo outside of and beside the computer case.

I always build and test my new systems outside of the case.
