  • Gigabyte GTX 580 crashing issue - recommended volts to stabilize

Alright, one of my GTX 580's is not stable on a factory overclocked speed at 795Mhz, even though I downclocked it to 772Mhz which is the reference stock speed of the GTX 580, I'm still getting artifacts on Bad Company 2. Does anybody know the recommended voltage to stabilize the card on 795Mhz or whatever?

This is a common problem with all of Gigabyte's overclocked cards and so far Gigabyte has yet to acknowledge the problem, so far there is no BIOS/Firmware update to rectify this issue.

Did you test it by itself to be sure?

Since this is a common issue you mention, please report it here and link them to other places you see this mentioned at, just to be sure they are actually aware of the problem

Yeah, I already tested the card and it is not stable, it crashes mainly on games that use DX10/11, such as Battlefield Bad Company 2, Crysis 1, Lost Planet 2 and running 3dMark 11 will hang or crash my computer. I've already contacted Gigabyte GTS and so far they haven't been helpful, they say there is no known flaws with their overclocked cards (Obviously not), as many people are experiencing the same issues other forums I've visited.

I would RMA the card really, if it was me, doesn't sound like you got what you paid for.
