Help please with Z68X-UD4 Settings

Hello im a bit confused regarding bios settings on Z68X-UD4-B3 Mobo.
I have overclocked an i5-2500k succefully to 4.8GHZ But im confused about voltage settings in BIOS.
I Have selected to adjust vcore vio DVID Setting but the weird thing is while on 48X multi my standard vcore is 1.36v and i have to add +0.120 to get to 1.38v on full load and get the machine stable. The mats should to 1.36 +0.12 = 1.48 what im missing and getting 1.38v? I tried to play abit to see how it works but i got confused :( Can anyone help? or this voltage thing is bios bug or smthing

Try using LLC(Load Line Callibration)

There is no option to adjust LLC when using normal voltage + DVID. The only way to adjust LLC (Also confused what the 10level llc does lol) is to put manually a voltage but there things are even worse. Im putting like 1.40v manually and i end up getting 1.48 (with llc disabled). I think it has something to do with the biios (Using F6 Bios btw)

I guess you have to accept vdroop in this case.
This realy should make no difference, LLC may be important when vcore is set manually if you don't wisg to exceed voltage at idle, but the dvid only engaged under load so this should be fine.

I don't use DVID, but doesn't that apply to your normal stock speeds voltage. Like stock speed voltage + Whatever DVID at any/all clocks to get the voltage you want, like stock 1.2 and you need 1.4 for 4.8 so you set DVID +0.2?

The LLC levels are just that, some give you more voltage under load and some give you less, each with different amounts of droop at idle. Sin0822 made a graph of the levels somewhere but not sure where it is anymore, try level 4-7 and see which you like

Well im building this rig for a friend and while its stable on daily usage @ 4.8ghz (1.38v at load) it fails after arround 3,5hours on lynx full mem. (Temps at that point are 80degrees hottest core)

WOW, you should NEVER run LinX for 3+ hours!!

5-10 passes is plenty, you're going to kill your CPU's!

I don't think LinX is going to kill any CPU if it's not too hot, but there's no reason to run LinX, Prime95 is sufficient and more helpful.

These CPU's degrade easily, but all up to the user I suppose!

I've noted that Intel only offer a one year warranty on sandybridge cpu's? Yet mine has 3 years?

I think you'll be fine with 1.48v,its vdroop that's making you see 1.38v at load but aslong as its stable then you should be fine,either enable llc and lower dvid voltage or leave as it is,what qpi/vtt voltage are you using?

Just finished a 24hours blend test prime95 succefully so i guess its fine (still fails tho on 3+ hours llinx). Im running DVID +0.115 LLC DISABLED (cant do otherway since there is no option) Power savings enabled, qpi/vtt :1.05 (tried up to 1.2 for linx fail issue but was same **** even with more vcore was same thing)

Stop running LinX! LinX was meant to be a binning/stability torture test for Intel to QA their chips! It was NOT meant to be run for hours and hours for end users, ESPECIALLY at such high voltages! You already did 24 hours prime blend, and you saw the system was fully stable. So just cuddle up that OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) and call it a day!
