  • Asrock Extreme4(Bios 1.4) + Lucidlogix VIRTU 1.2 + Invalid Licence

Recently updated motherboard bio to "Z68 Extreme4(1.40)ROM" and Lucidlogix VIRTU to version "1.2.102.17134 (64Bit)"

On startup of windows I recieve to messeges, "Virtu Invalid Licence" and "due to hardware change vitu is disabled"

I can enable Virtu after recieving the messeges but have to do so after every startup.

No issue with previous Bios "Z68 Extreme4(L1.34)" or Lucidlogix VIRTU version "v1.0.101.16681 (64bit)"

    And no hardware was changed.

    Googled and came up short.
If anyone can help to resolve the issue thanks.

No problem here, however I am using VIRTU ver 1.2.102.17134 and bios 1.40A. The newer version of VIRTU may fix that for you. Sorry, missed the ver you had just updated to, perhaps the bios 1.40A would make the difference.

I'm having the same problem here... it started after a bios update... I flashed to BIOS 1.3, then to 1.1... then back to 1.4...

you may wonder why I did that... well... because it won't recognize my REVO drive as a boot device when RAID is enabled, I thought that a different BIOS may solve the issue.... it didn't

problem now is... Lucid virtu (which worked fine b4) is acting up about invalid license???? I bought everything... pirated nothing... didn't even know Virtu needed a license? WTH

OK... I think I have a solution here...

I reflashed my AsRock to BIOS 1.30... the bios it came with... uninstalled Virtu... then re-installed virtu from the AsRock CD... and voila! works again

now Virtu keeps saying that there is a new version and it wants to be updated...

Now, I'm guessing that if I update Virtu it will be just fine, as long as I don't update my BIOS... but to be honest... it's working great with version 1.0... and I'm happy to leave it alone until AsRock comes out with some updated BIOS's and Virtu releases newer versions as well...

              ain't broke don't fix it

Thanks, if it ain't broke don't deal with it, I agree.

But I have a bigger issue (sorry I didn't mention) I am trying to trouble shoot through,
I keep randomly BSOD with an error " A clock interrupt was not received on a secondary processor within the allocated time interval."

I thought Vitru was part of the issue. But after removing all unessentials from the PC
It's still randomly crashing. First thougt was to update virtu

Yes, re-installing to the original Asrock CDversion (with any bios) works.
But I noticed the Asrock CD Install does not use/ give you a license file for Virtu in the install directory.
The new one does, so I guess something funks up during the process
I'll wait for an update from Asrock.

BUT, even though I am not using I am still getting random BSOD.
Usually while watching video(ie: youtube streaming, Blu-ray) or working with semi graphic intense programs

Stress testing it all night, but no issue came up, on the tests,
lol only after closing the stress program about 30min later the system Blue screened again.

I uploaded the Dump Files and an overview in HTML using BLuescreen view

                [DOwNLOAD] Bluescreen view HTML overview

Thanks for the suggestions so far.
If anyone can continue to help its much appreciated

As that seems to be a completely unrelated issue to the topic of this thread,
you should post that in a new thread to get help with that issue...

This thread should stay on topic ;)

Sorry for disrupting/adding to the the original poster "Samsung102"'s issue ...?
but I guess that's fair enough to make a new thread.
