  • Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 I/O conflict?

I have just put together my system with the ex4 gen3 as a replacement motherboard.

I am using an X-fi Xtremegamer Fatality Pro soundcard in the lowest possible PCI slot.

Upon first load of the drivers with was working fine. On boot this morning it shows under device manager with a yellow exclamation with
"This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)"

I have used various win7 drivers (running win7 64bit) but it makes no difference. If I try and uninstall the driver it with BSOD with IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL. So I have to do it through safe mode.

If i try and view the details of the device in device manager it will BSOD with the same affect.

I have also updated BIOS to 1.1 but this has made no difference (apart from inverting all mouse axis in bios...)

    Any advice on this one?

Just to update on this, I have tried both PCI slots and with the soundcard installed it just wont work, either windows boot problems or BSOD. Cleaned and tried all drivers possible but no luck, reverting to onboard and removing the soundcard for now.

Have seen other threads on this problem, is there any updated BIOS I can try?

Also my mouse is a Logitech MX518 which is now inverted in the BIOS :(
