Hello,
i am having a very strange problem installing a CIR-receiver on my A75M-ITX.
I installed the CIR (its an internal one originally for Intel-Boards, but i know it works on Asrock-Boards after changing some Pins on the Cable)
After the setup of Win7 32bit, i installed all drivers, the CIR-driver last. After the install i rebooted the system as requested by the setup-program.
In the device-manager no CIR-related devices show up and i couldn´t controll anything with my remote...
First i checked if the CIR was installed proberly, all cables where in place. The BIOS altough lacked all Options regarding a CIR. I started the PC anyway and deinstalled the CIR-driver, suddenly the device-manager showd a "Novoton something CIR" and a "Microsfto eHome-Receiver". Also the remote was working, i was even able to put the PC to sleep and wake it up again.
After another reboot the 2 devices where again gone from the device-manager and the remote was no longer working. I checked the BIOS again and there the CIR-related options where back. Back in Windows, i tried reinstalling the driver, but got the error "No CIR present".
Long story short, after hours of testing later i got the following situation:
1. When i remove the power-cord for a few seconds the BIOS "forgets" that there is a CIR installed (no related options in the BIOS). As long as no CIR is present in the BIOS, Windows device-manager shows a Novoton something CIR" and a "Microsfto eHome-Receiver" and the remote is working.
2. After 1-X reboots or 1-X wakeups from sleep the devices are suddenly gone. Checking the BIOS shows that the CIR-options are back. Installing the drivers brings the above-mentioned error.
3. I remove the power-cors again, goto 1
Any Ideas? I am really out of ideas...
best regards
Hadan
