I'm upgrading from an e6300 based computer to an i5-2500K and Z77 Pro4 ATX board and am having problems getting the machine to boot past the BIOS screen after the RAID option screen. This is only a problem when I have an IDE drive connected to a Promise ultra100 card. The ultra100 detects my IDE drive but the the system will not boot past the BIOS copyright and date screen with a "B2" at the bottom right corner. If I disconnect the IDE drive from the Ultra100 controller the system will boot into Windows 7 on my SATA drives just fine. Does anyone know if this board has a known compatibility issue with the Promise controllers? I've already updated to the latest 1.10 BIOS and still no dice. Tried various BIOS storage settings too.
