Is it possible to have a raid configuration and a normal drive with a ssd on the intel controler? x79 extreme 4

I'm not sure I understand your question, but I'll try.

If you are referring to Intel's Smart Response Technology (SRT), where a caching SSD is used with a standard HDD, that feature is not available on X79 mother boards. The X79 chipset uses a different RAID driver (RSTe) than all other Intel chipsets, and the SRT feature is not available.

Also, on any current Intel SATA RAID chipset, you can have a RAID 0 array (or other type) and single, non-RAID volume drives together at the same time. A single drive on an Intel SATA chipset with Intel RAID driver is treated as if in AHCI mode. I've done this many times, and have three PCs running like that now. You could have the SATA mode set to RAID, and have no RAID arrays created at all, and just use all single drives.

Finally, if you mean combining a SSD and a standard HDD together into a standard RAID 0 array, then yes you can, but it would not work well. The size of the RAID 0 volume will be no larger than the number of drives used, multiplied by the size of the smallest drive used. For example, if you had a 120GB SSD, and a 1TB (1000GB) HDD, the resulting RAID 0 volume will be 240GB (2 X 120). The rest of the HDD's space would be wasted, unless you created multiple partitions on the HDD. Also, the speed of a SSD and a HDD combined will only be as fast as the HDD, as the SSD will be waiting for the HDD to finish.

Sorry for my explanation.
But what i ment was that i have 2 Ordinary hdd's that i want to be in raid-0 and a ssd taht i use for os and program that needs to go fast ^^

Yes, it works just fine that way. My last three systems have had an SSD as my boot drive, 2 HD in a RAID 0 config to hold files, plus another single e-sata HD as backup.
