Hi all.
I have the EP35C-DS3R.
Now, since I didn't actually record this [
], here's what I "think" it sounded like:
I started my computer from a cold boot, and instead of getting that one successful system beep, I got a continuous series of them right in a row.
I think they were a series of short beeps all in a row. As soon as it did this series of beeps, I hear the system power down (it gets quiet for a moment, no fans spinning, etc.)......and then the system powers back up, I hear that one successful beep, and the system boots just fine into my desktop.
I looked in my MB manual to read about those system beeps. Up above where I said I think they were short beeps.....well......in the manual, it mentions both continuous short and long beeps.
Could mine have been a series of continuous long beeps? I suppose.....but I guess it depends upon your definition of what a long beep sounds like
Anyway:
Continuous long beeps is: Graphics card not inserted properly
Continuous short beeps is: Power error
If they were in-fact long beeps (graphics card), then would my system have booted eventually at all? If my graphics card wasn't seated properly, then I would not have eventually gotten an image on-screen, correct? And remember like I said: After this series of beeps, the system shut down by itself, was quiet for a moment, and then booted fine successfully, with that one beep.
If they were in-fact short beeps (power error), then would that mean my PSU itself is going "bad". It's a pretty good one, a Corsair 750 watt.
But if my PSU was bad, would the system have booted again right away like I described that it did?
What do you think?
