My monitor is not switch off when i shut down my new PC.I reconnected to the old one and everything is just fine.

All of my monitors are less than two years old, all LCD/LED monitors, and none of them turn off automatically when my PCs are shut down. What monitor are you using?

Your old PC used a different video card or chip than the new one, and may have been able to shut off your monitor somehow.

I've never seen a PC monitor shut itself off completely, unless it was connected to a switched outlet on the back of the PC, which you don't see in custom built PC power supplies anymore.

It seems that I have exactly the same problem with the topic starter.

On a PC I use, I have the ASRock Z77 Pro4-M motherboard with the latest bios version 1.30 and I am using the onboard Intel HD graphics (I don't have another vga card).

When my monitor should "sleep" after some time of inactivity or when I turn off my computer, the monitor doesn't go to standby mode and instead of that it displays a message to check my cable.

Furthermore, when I check the UEFI BIOS and use "system browser", all the connected devices (USB, SATA, audio etc) are displayed correctly but monitor is not displayed in any of the three available ports (VGA, DVI, HDMI) which appear to be empty (according to system browser) (screenshot).

I have tried 2 different monitors with VGA, DVI, HDMI cables and none of them is displayed as connected in the system browser, even though they seem to work fine except the "check signal cable" or "no signal" message (depending on the monitor I use) when they should "sleep".

Does anybody know what should I do to solve this problem?

A "check signal cable" message should mean that the cable is disconnected from the signal source, or that a cable is not connected to that input. I only see that when I forget to turn off my monitors when I shut down the PC, turn off the PS, and unplug the monitor cable from the PC's video output.

I have used the onboard Intel graphics (HD 4000) for a while, and never noticed anything like you described when the PC was inactive. If I turned on the monitor with the PC off (not Sleep), after a while I would get the No Signal message from the monitor, which is NOT the same as check signal cable.

I use either a DVI-D or HDMI cable. It might be just the way the monitor responds to no signal, rather than knowing a cable is connected, since my monitors can tell the difference.
