  • Server problems! p55-ud3 motherboard

    i've got this server, with a p55-ud3 mb and a i5 650 proc.
i have vmware ESXi 5.0u1 on it.

i'm trying to use directpath on the graphicscard that i have, an ati 4850. is that possible in some way with this motherboard? i'm getting that it's not supported in the vsphereclient, which imo doesnt make sense. is there any biosversion, or modified one that can make vt-d enabled?

    Thanks

I think you want to make sure that Virtualization and Intel® VT-x is enabled in the bios. They are both supported by your CPU.

I've never had an issue with VMware, but have never tried using ESXi.

what are you using it for?
