  • Still Alive and kicking

Hey guys, its been a long time that I have been away from the forums. It has been one crazy year. Started a new job, am currently working at the Revel Resorts in AC, New Jersey as a IT Support Specialist. Been there for just over 1 year and what a hell of a year it has been. You would thing things would start to slow down after opening last year, its been crazzy. I came to Revel as a contractor with this new company that was just starting up. After a 3 months the company could not afford to keep the 5 of us techs on Revel's pay schedule. Luckily another company was bring people in and were able to pick us up. Well that last a few months longer until just recently the 5 of us got hired by Revel directly since we have been there for most of a year and know the place inside and out (even though we still learn and see new things to this day).

So besides crazzy work life (working 3pm-11pm) personal life has been crazy too. Because of work I have been messing around with vmware ESXi and vCenter. I currently have 2 z77x-ud3h with 32gb ram each as hosts. Running like 16 VM's, different Windows Servers and other vms.

I have gotten back into bitcoin/litecoin mining. I have 1 7970, 2 7950's, 1 6950, 1 5850 mining. A couple of those cards are in the my ESXi host systems and using passthrough to pass the gpu's along to a VM that are running win7 for mining. 2 of the gpus are in my main desktop pc.

Because of all this I either have not had the time to be in the forum or have the time to bring down a system to trouble shoot something or look something up for you guys. Well today I hope to change all that. Not saying I am coming back full time, just saying when I do have some free time I will pop my head in and see what I can do or even just talk random BS. I dont think I will have time to help with bios mods honestly I almost forget how to do them. Its been a long time since a last did a bios mod, I would need to refresh on it again. If I get motivated I may update the bios mod first page with the latest links I see from last few pages.

As for LSD, I am really surprised he has not come back. Cant remember last time I talked with him but I seriously thought he would be done is reviews and back to the forums. Maybe I will try to reach out to him again and see if he still alive and kicking.

So anyway just thought I stop in and say hello and I miss you guys. I miss helping out fellow gigabyte users. Feel free to leave any comment or remark. I can take the punches or beers which ever you guys what to give out.

          Welcome back, Ace.
Glad to see things are working out for you.

As for LSD, he hasn't been around since long before you disappeared. I used to see him here and there on the net but not in a year or so, at least not under the "LSD" moniker.

Glad to see you back... been a long time indeed... and happy to hear the job is going good.

I would love to see a little more detail on these systems... I'm running an HTPC with VMPlayer as a Windows Server 2011 server... been thinking of playing with ESXi and vCenter.. I have a spare system with a quad core and 4GB of ram I could start with :)
