  • GF4 440 Go on laptop

Recently bought a Dell Inspiron. Great quality, except for one problem with the video...the hardware settings for brightness and contrast are way overbright. This can be tweaked in the control panel for Windows work, but all the games I've loaded up so far switch automatically right back to the hardware default.

UT 2003's sliders can be used to set a fair amount of contrast, but in DIABLO II and MORROWIND, the in-game gamma and contrast settings are virtually useless...no deep blacks can be had at all, both games are lit up completely and look like mud. Any suggestions for setting the lighting in these games? Is there any way to tweak the hardware itself?

I feel a bit of a parrot; repeating posts etc, but have you tried a later NVidia driver? That may solve your problem, plus get you some extra speed out of your card, the links are here

    Just go down three posts.

I hope this isn't too late, this subject being 10+ days old. :?:
