  • Setting up a new System, and i need some help pls

I am about to Setup a new Computersystem for myself
In the Past i was doing much Overcklockingstuff, with Liquid Cooling, also N2 and with compressorstuff.
But this is now over 4 Years behind,

Now i am about to setuo a new small Computer for Gaming and maybe some overcklocking.

Stuff i have from older PC is

    Powersupply Corsair HX1000
    BD- Burner
    Nvidia GTX 670

and this schould be the new Setup i was thinking about:

    CPU: Intel I5 4690K
    Ram: Kingston 16GB KIT PC3-12800 DDR3-1600 CL10 HyperX FURY black 2x 8GB
Mainboard: ASRock Z97M OC Formula Z97 Sockel 1150 mATX DDR3

Now i am searching for a CPU-Cooler. Where i can do some overclocking and i can use all DDR3 Slots.

Maybe you can help me with an Idea, witch Type of cooler is good for this

There are some good articles on CPU coolers on the main forum section of Tweaktown.

You mention you will use 2x8GB sticks of memory but want to keep all memory slots free.

That limits your choice of many of the best HSF and we don't know the width of your case which may limit the height of your HSF.

The easy solution for you is one of the compact water kits for the CPU, but if your main OC days are over (as are mine) easing up on one of your requirements will open up many air options.

Finally, you mention Small, Gaming and maybe OC, so internal case temps could be an issue depending on case size and air flow.

Have you decided which case to use? We can go from there.

Take a look at the Thermaltake NIC cpu coolers if your looking for air-cooled, it will give you room to use all 4 memory slots: http://www.thermaltakeusa.com/cooler.aspx

I would suggest Thermalright CPU coolers, they have several models that allow all the DRAM slots to be used. But watch out for the height of these coolers, they may not fit in your case.
