Asus x75a motherboard replacement

The Asus X75A-DB31(motherboard) unfortunately is not interchangeable, hench the reason I'm posting this thread in hopes of locating one...or possibly finding someone,someplace that has the know-how in regards to fixing it! This laptop has (had) a BIOS password and while trying to "jump" the CMOS to reset the BIOS password,it shut off and will not power back on! Any and all help in regards to this matter would be greatly appreciated! Thank you ladies and gentlemen!

It seems you tried to put a jumper on the CMOS clear pins while the PC was on?! "... it shut off and will not power back on".

If so, doing that is just plain wrong. A PC must be shutdown and completely removed from all power sources before the CMOS clear pins are shorted.

For a desktop PC, that means shutting down the OS, setting the power supply's power switch to Off, and disconnecting the AC power cord from the power supply, or disconnecting the power cord from AC power.

For a laptop/mobile PC, that means shutting down the OS, completely removing the battery from the laptop, and disconnecting the battery charger/power supply from the laptop. It's also a good idea to press and hold down the laptop's power button for several seconds after removing the battery and battery charger/power supply from the laptop.

IF you are lucky, that laptop will not be dead. Before you do anything else, remove the battery and battery charger/power supply from the laptop. If you ignore this, you were warned.

Once power has been removed from the laptop, remove the CMOS jumper if it is a two pin jumper, or put it back to its normal position if it is a three pin jumper. If you've already done this without removing power, remove all power from the laptop as described above, and try shorting the CMOS jumper again. Remove or replace the jumper, replace the battery and charger, and pray the PC starts.
