I have a Z87N wifi motherboard from gigabyte and gtx 770 from inno3d.
Z87N wifi is brand new and gtx770 is 6 months old.
Whenever gtx 770 is on heavy load: laggy cursor, general stuttering, eventually freezes
Updated BIOS, Nvidia drivers. still the same happens.
Sent the Z87N wifi to manufacturer for testing. The conclusion was: no problem with motherboard. Problem with video card
What they did was they put new gtx 9XX cards and there was no problem.
Sent the GTX770 to manufacturer. Engineers say there was no problem with the GTX 770, they placed the video
card on several testbenches and no problem was found.
I sent the whole computer and they found out that the symptoms only appeared when my gtx770, specifically, is paired with ANY of gigabyte's mini ITX boards.
I cannot have my items replaced since none of them is "technically" broken.
The only reason could be compatibility and that is not handled by warranty. Is there anyone here who has the same problem with these items?
SPECS:
PSU: 630W Thermaltake Smart SE
CPU: i7 4770
RAM: hyperX 8gig
MoB: z87N wifi gigabyte
GPU: GTX 770 inno3d
SSD: Samsung EVO 840
CAS: Corsair 380t mini itx case
Monitor: AoC (1080i)
Applications used: Benchmarking apps (3d mark, heaven) games: dragon age inquisition
All parts are brand new, no overclocking
Any other thoughts?
What should i do?
