Hi there, I tried reaching out to Lian Li through the website support form but unfortunately I haven't heard back from you guys so I thought to try my luck with the forums.
I Placed an order for the PC-O5s from Overclockers UK - Computer components, hardware & gaming PC last month, and sure enough I did receive the item and it's amazing.
However, there seems to be a problem with the PCI-e ribbon riser, after I assembled my pc I've been receiving power-kernel and and graphics-related error, games would insanely stutter and eventually get a BSOD, pc doesn't boot and other erratic stuff keep happening. The errors could have been related to anything but after some investigation I discovered that the PCI-e riser was the culprit.
Below are the steps i took trying to pinpoint the problem:
1- Software troubleshooting, several clean-reinstallations of windows.
2- I tested each stick of RAM individually and together with memtest and other utilities.
3- removed the installed power supply and tested a new one.
4- Tested GPU on another machine and sure enough it's functioning perfectly.
5- tested the pc without the GPU and it worked fine.
6- I removed the riser and installed it on another pc and the problem came to life again. proving that the riser was the issue in the first place.
System Specs:
MB: ASUS ROG Maximus VII Impact
CPU: Intel 4790K
RAM: 2x8GB G.Skill Trident X
GPU: EVGA GTX 780ti Classified
PSU: Silverstone SX600-G (SFX)
Cooling: CoolerMaster Nepton 240m AIO
All in all, I hope I can get the PCI-e replaced and get my system up and going soon.
Thanks!
