So after receiving an RMA motherboard from Asrock, I can't get my card to register on it's own. I have tried all of the BIOS versions, set to PCI-Express and all gens and all PCI-E slots.

The only way that I could successfully get the card to be detected was to take my computer to my friends shop, take my card out, plug it into a different system. Did a full test, with all my equipment, put it all back into my system. First boot up the computer with a different graphics card. Let it run for 5 minutes, with that card working. Turn off my computer and remove power, quickly switch the cards, then I could get it to get detected, install all the software and let it run for a while during games with no issue. Once the computer is turned off and let powerless for 5 minutes my card would no longer get detected, so I redo the process again and get it to work.

So I know the motherboard is good, I know the GPU is good. It's a compatibility issue with the z77 Asrock boards from what I'm reading from several Asrock customers in this forum and plenty of other forums.

I don't want to have to deal with a second RMA and ship my board and GPU back for them to switch the cards and get mine to post and say it's my fault and charge me. This is a real problem that can be seen from several posts.

So what other ways besides ditching this Motherboard or GPU can be done to get it to work even after a full power cycle?

Anyone, any ideas. I really don't want to have to upgrade parts but that seems to be the only way to resolve the issue.
