  • how do you remove user profile? in MSN explorer

How do i remove a user profile from MSN explorer i made a new email account because my other account was spamed to hell ,now when i go to check my mail through msn explorer i have 2 profiles i uninstalled msn but when i reinstalled it was still there.
i cant use a outlook account because with ADSL Bigpond ISP they only give 1 email account and my dad has that so i use hotmail. thanks

The thing is that ya user profiles are stored on MSN's servers but there are ways to cut down spam in Hotmail by adjusting ya settings. Most spam is generated by how ya sign up (just bein' publically listed, default signup, is the best way) but you can lock it down to just those listed in ya address book. Maybe a clean install of it will help ya remove it from ya PC but MSN will always have it floatin' about. ;)

You can adjust filter level while checking mails in msn(hotmail)and perhaps there is a choice to receive mails form those only who are in yr addressbook or those to whom you have mailed in the past-I am not sure but check this.

I dont think i made myself to clear on what i wanted to do i am duel booting XP & ME i use msn explorer to access my emails when i click the icon i come to the MSN signin screen i have 2 accounts to choose from ,Now i know you setings like Favourates and contacts are stored on there server but if i lock zonealarm internet conection and try sign in there are still 2 accounts but on my win-me signin there is only 1 sign in if both usernames were on the server wouldnt it come up with 2 users on my ME signin? I tried to edit the user from the registry in XP under
        Hkey_curent_user/software/microsoft/msn6/users
There are 2 entries i tried to delete the one i didn't want but it keeps reapearing.so there must be a user setings folder or file i can delete to remove the unwanted user. thanks for the replies so far.

Well i got rid of it that reg hack worked i just needed to log out or reboot as the next time i started xp the second user from the msn explorer signin screen was gone also found that when you are loged in to the user you wish to remove under the setings More Choises/settings/Accounts there is a option to remove account. But i havnt tried that as the reg hack i did worked thanks
