You should look for a nForce2 motherboard, like the Abit NF7-S, Epox, Asus 7N8X.

A lot of ppl think the EpoX is the best. Also depends how much are you going to spend, and what do you want (Serial ATA, Onboard Graphics, etc)

Wait until the experts come :thumb:

Then the nForce2 must have the MCP-T, it provides Serial ATA, FireWire and DolbyDigital 5.1.

    Check this roundup:

Here is a comparation between the SoundStrom (nForce2' onboard sound, MCP-T only) and others sound solutions:

    Yes the NF7-S has MCP-T.

But because I have not use before the NF7-S I can't recommend you, I'm still waiting for that MB.

The only sure point it that make sure the MB has the MCP-T.

Again there are other options like:
    EpoX
    Asus
    MSI

Wait until someone with more experience read the thread.

Yes the NF7-S and 8rda3+ have MCP-T. and nf7-s has the digital SPDIF sound connection so it's better if you're using more than 5.1 speakers .I think that's the different with 8rda3+ and nf7-s. Not really sure about epox..

metallicat666: Great choice, Abit's NF7-S v2.0 is a superb motherboard, just make sure you run it with BIOS v1.6.
One piece of advice, if you intend to overclock it a lot, consider fitting a heatsink to the southbridge chipset.
