I got the following email from a concerned ECS motherboard customer who had 2 motherboards catch on fire in the past little while.

It looks as if ECS had no regard for the motherboards catching on fire!

    Dear unconcerned manufacturer,

I will be sure to forward this email to CNN when one of the motherboards in question burns down a kindergarden and
    kills everyone in it.

One of your products is a danger to the public, thank you
for your lack of concern and general disregard for your customers.

Our company buys hundreds of IT products a year. I will be
sure that we (or dozens of my associates in the industry)
    never buy your product again.

    Thank You

p.s. When I eventually track down management within your company, I will be sure to also forward them these communications.

I think Im glad I never got an ECS mobo. But since that was with the same CPU, and UPS, couldnt it possibl be an Issue with the certain CPU on that revision??? Whatever it is, thats a serious problem theyve got on their hands, First HSF's catchin on fire, then mobos, whats next?? OCZ PC3500 catches on fire???

    FlaCo: It's a different board.

My point is this, ECS is happy to publicise the fact that Tweaktown awarded them with an "Editors Choice" for one of their motherboards.
But when we try to make them aware of the problems being experienced by one of our members, which in extreme circumstances
could turn out to be a very serious problem, they totally ignore us. (Double standards?)
