I just ordered a pair of matched Kingston HyperX PC3200 DDR ram for my motherboard (A7N8X-Deluxe Rev.2) and was wondering which slots I need to place the memory in to activate the Dual Channel Mode. There are three slots with one being blue and the other two black. Thanks guys

use slots 1 & 3 (blue slot and second black one)
I've gone too far and need to move on!

does it make any difference than having to use slot 1 & 2?

hmm, i just noticed that the middle slot is blue, so if you say to use slots 1 and 3 then that would be black and black slots, but yours is blue and black?

there is a gap between slot 2 and 3 for a reason. Apparently Dual Channel requires a larger gap between the ram sticks for some reason. So to accomodate that ASUS requires that only slots 1 & 3 to be used. It's in the manual if you want to see for yourself :)

Richscd2, on mine the first one is black and the second and third are blue. But mine is also a pre-2.0 version so it could have been changed. Just put them in whatever is slot 1 & 3
