    hi
i have a Kobian KOB P4M266 MDFSMx motherboard

    http://www.kobian.com/download_produ...product_id=111

which has VIA P4M266 chipset with Realtek RTM360-107a clock gen. The bios doesnot allow to change the fsb of my Celeron 1700MHz. The motherboard has jumpers but when i change the setting (from 100 to 133 on any of the jumpers or both) my pc doesnt start. then i tried to shift to software overlocking i tried all the softwares (softfsb, cpucool, cpufsp, etc) but none of them supports the motherboard nor the clock generator. I tried to create a pll profile in SoftFSB but Realtek werent kind enough to publish a datasheet for their pll on their website. so i dont know how to add support for my motherboard. I then tried CPUboost which is specially programmed for RTM based plls. but it gives the following error in my winxp
"the procedure entry point SMapLS_IP_EBP_16 could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

please anyone............help me in anyway you can
i really want to overclock my cpu
    thankz

1st time I've ever heard of that brand but if none of those utilities can't interact with it then its highly unlikely you'll ever get it to overclock at all.

Try going to the manufacturer's website and find out how to flash your bios. This upgrades/updates your bios to include patches and fixes, plus it may even give you increased functionality. Be very careful to follow all their instructions or you'll fry your mobo. Normally, you'll have to find out what version you currently have, update to the version released right after yours, then update to the version released after that version etc, until you have the latest version installed on your system.

I've never heard of Kobian motherboards before this, but seeing as they look like a generic brand, I doubt you'll find them with a newer BIOS, or any BIOS with OC options. If SoftFSB won't do it for you, well, I think you're SOL.

even if you did over**** it the 1.7Ghz celeron is still gonna be slow. why not look at building a new system, or at least upgrading the motherboard and processor.
